Plamil has been combining ethics and making chocolate for decades. All of their chocolates are dairy free and gluten free.
I met the director, Annaliese, back in college. She was always known to write and direct these massive large scale absurd concepts, and somehow pulling it all off. So when she contacted me about shooting her commercial that would involve a “chocolate monster” I knew this project would be no different.
We got really lucky that the studio we rented had a ton of equipment to use at our disposal. A lot of the overhead rigging was already done and the lights could be controlled through a light board. This was definitely a silly but very fun project to work on. Not to mention I got boxes upon boxes of chocolate at the end of it!
