It’s finally finished!

Working on this project was one of the hardest, most fast paced, time consuming films I’ve worked on. Not to mention all the symbolism and ironies of working on it. Towards the end of filming, we ran into the same shoot days and deadlines that I ran into 2 years ago when I initially tried applying to Chapman.

After my first film was stolen with my computer, I either had the choice to let it go and forever wonder what could have been, or do something about it. So I shot a last minute impromptu film with my good mates from Bristol, Will and James.

I filmed around with Will around Sydney’s Opera house, on the City Rail, the ferry, Manly Beach, Shelly Beach, and spliced in some clips I also shot with my phone at some concerts I went to while I was there. After we filmed, we went back to his place where his roommate James was at, and I had him narrate it.

This time around, I had a little bit more time to plan. But that didn’t make it any easier!

This film took us all over the place.

Thank you.

I can’t thank the people involved enough. I couldn’t have done a single second of this without every person who helped out.

I would like to especially thank Michael Maughan. I told him about this huge idea and when he volunteered, I doubt he realized how much work I’d be putting him through! You the real MVP.

I would also like to thank Natalie Delsindico for coming through at the extremely last minute notice and doing her best at faking an accent for me. I was super stressed trying to find a girl that felt comfortable trying an accent and then also going on a long hike through Malibu State Park. I had already rented the DJI Ronin and wasn’t able to reschedule the shoot. She came through the late night before.

I would like to thank Jacqueline Welham for putting up with all my stress over this. I didn’t get to see her very much during the shoots, but she continued to be extremely understanding and supportive. You can even find her in a cameo as the CSI girl! It was also thanks to her that we locked down the house location for where the break-in scene would take place.

Thanks to everyone that was a part of the party scene! I texted my friend Zander Denador also last minute to act and then to crash his apartment and throw a party. Everyone involved nailed it and I hope you demolished the goon.

Christine Stewart got to deal with all my annoyances of asking for sound bites from her of her dad who played the voice of the officer calling about the break in. Thank you for getting that and having him be an authentic Aussie!

Because why not

As a little something extra to have as a cover for dropping the trailer into iTunes, I created a movie poster. You can download it here.
